Although the primary focus of SOLO Server is Electronic License Activation and Management, SOLO Server's integrated e-Commerce can be used to fully automates product/license sales and distribution.

Some of the supported features include:

• Automatically recurring subscriptions through payment plan system
• Purchase options based on licenses owned (such as renewals and upgrades) through the Customer License Portal
• Customizable storefront design
• Discount codes, either for all customers or as a one-time use
• Support for affiliates and distributors
• Customizable order confirmation emails

Requirements for SOLO Server's Integrated eCommerce

You only need to supply a compatible merchant account and payment gateway so you can accept credit cards as a method of payment.

You would also want a brochure website that links to your SOLO Server storefront.

When purchasing a product/license, a customer will register their contact information and then complete the checkout process for the license(s) they want. The customer will automatically receive their License ID(s) and Activation Password(s) by email once the purchase has been processed successfully.

Should I Use SOLO Server's Integrated eCommerce?

Companies that already have fully functioning e-Commerce solutions or, for whatever reasons, do not wish to sell their software products online, can still benefit from the multitude of license management features available with the use of SOLO Server. The author interface and/or web services can be used to create the licenses, and then you can choose to distribute them in a way that best suits your needs.
