Extended Pricing
In addition to flat, per unit pricing, extended quantity based pricing can also be specified on a product option. To configure extended pricing, click the Create/Manage Extended Pricing link next to the Price Per U/M field on the product option page while in view mode (note that this is not available for bundled options).
On the extended pricing page, new pricing levels can be defined by entering the minimum and maximum quantities the pricing applies to as well as the unit price for the quantity range in the bottom row of the grid and then clicking the Add New Pricing button. Existing pricing levels can be editing by clicking the Edit button, adjusting the values, and clicking the Update button. Similarly, pricing levels can be removed by clicking the Delete button. Enter 0 as the maximum quantity to specify no maximum.
When pricing an item on the cart, SOLO Server will first look for an extended pricing level that applies to the item. If found, the extended pricing level will be used, otherwise, pricing will fall back to the default specified on the option. Note that the minimum/maximum quantity check performed when adding an item to the cart is still based on the minimum and maximum quantities specified on the option, so these should still be set accordingly even if extended pricing is specified.
Example:
To set up an option with a base price of $100 with a 10% discount for additional quantity up to 5, extended pricing would be set as follows:
Minimum Quantity | Maximum Quantity | Unit Price |
---|---|---|
1 | 1 | 100.00 |
2 | 2 | 90.00 |
3 | 3 | 80.00 |
4 | 4 | 70.00 |
5 | 0 | 60.00 |
The option itself should be set with the base unit price (Price Per U/M) of 100.00, and specify a minimum quantity of 1 and maximum quantity of 0 in this case.
